Young Thug is the only artist to have three projects debut in the top 5 on the Rap Albums charts: “JEFFERY”, “Slime Season 3”, and “I’m up”.
The entire year of 2016 has been hot for Young Thug, as he has been dropping records left and right. Not to mention his choices in fashion and turning heads with his wardrobe pick on his latest album cover.
Releasing “JEFFERY” on August 26, has made him a recent topic of discussion. Debuting, No. 3 on the rap album charts he’s streamed over 37,000 streams and 18,00 in albums sales in the first week ending on Sept. 1st. I’m up debuted No. 6 on the Feb. 27th charts with 15,00 sold in the first week and Slime Season No.3 April 16 with 22,000 sold.
The only other artist to get the award of having two top 5 albums on the Rap charts this year is Kevin Gates with his January debut “Islah, and his may project “Murder for Hire 2”.
